In 2023 PT. Bukit Angkasa Makmur passed the Sustainable Natural Rubber Policy.

PT. Bukit Angkasa Makmur is committed to continuing to increase efforts in achieving the goals of sustainable natural rubber management and in line with the policy framework of GPSNR (Global Platform for Sustainable Natural Rubber) as a member of the PPT (Producer, Processor and Tire Maker) group which is incorporated in GPSNR between industries using natural rubber such as tire companies and the consumer industry and its derivatives such as automotive companies, and world-class NGOs.

Every year PT. Bukit Angkasa Makmur always strives to improve the scope and quality of programs related to sustainable natural rubber, especially in the company's work environment in the aspects of quality management systems and environmental management systems based on standardization and requirements in accordance with the wishes of customers and the expectations of stakeholders.

The main sustainable challenge is the natural rubber supply chain network which is outside the operational area and not under the control of the factory. For that PT. Bukit Angkasa Makmur establishes strategic plans through partnerships between farmer groups through suppliers/ dealers to encourage the application of the principles of sustainable plantation management including social and environmental

PT.Bukit Angkasa Makmur realizes that achieving sustainable goals needs to involve the participation of stakeholders in the local rubber center area, including local governments and business actors such as rubber traders, seed breeders, consumers of rubber plantation products, etc.

Sustainable Natural Rubber Policy PT. Bukit Angkasa Makmur is the basic capital that will give birth to a roadmap for current and future activity programs including stakeholder and stakeholder engagement strategies for common goals in order to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Rubber plant comes from the Latin language named Hevea braziliensis. Rubber plants were first found in the Amazone river valleys (Brazil). When Christophel Columbus discovered the American continent in 1476, he was astonished to see locals (Indians) playing ball using a material that could bounce when dropped on the ground. The ball is made of a mixture of roots, wood, grass, and material (latex) which is then heated on fire and rounded into a ball. After the box containing the crumbs comes out of the Dryer machine, then the contents of the box dryer will be cooled to 40 degrees Celsius. This cooling is needed to avoid mold growth on the final result. The final result will be wrapped in plastic. Hot temperatures will result in condensation of air inside the plastic. This dew can trigger fungus. The product plasticizers can melt so the products will become sticky to each other. The Plasticity Retention Index (PRI) value will drop due to the heat retained in the package.
